looks good man. we gotta do the ifs rubicon run haha
Heck ya, we gotta make some sliders for both our rigs first and then i'm there.
Yeah, they work really well for the price. I'm running an add a leaf in the rear. Works okay but would rather have lifted springs. I can't justify spending the money on them just yet.
Ya thats what I have and it's pretty ruff ridin, I was thinking of going 51 fords or something but thats low on my list.

Ordered the bilstien adjustables  for the front, no more crappy spacer lift for me. And I got a 1/4 inch spacer for the front wheels so my rims aren't grinding the calipers.

That didn't take long. You'll really like these Bilstiens. Best bang for your buck when it comes to these trucks, IMHO. I used 1/4" spacers on the front of mine until I got a good deal on some alcoa aluminum wheels that did'nt need a spacer. Never had any issues with them, though.

Ya 1/4 inch spacers did the trick, did some mild wheeling today and I can't stand the spacer lift. :nerv:  It's fine on the road but definately not off.

Thanks man. I wheeled some snow today off of eagle lakes road. It was pretty fun, the taco did good but I really didn't feel like getting stuck all by myself.

I didnt remember seeing the vote, but my vote would be SAS using fj80 front. The vendors are just starting to see the popularity and potential of these axles and are working on products. If you find the right 1 in the junk yard you'll have a elocker too.

Fj80 axle would be perfect. Standard yota axle would just be to narrow. I look from time to time and I have never come acrost an fj80 front axle though.

Well I went snow wheeling yesterday, truck did pretty good. Definately need to install the new front shocks, and i'm gonna start looking around for an e locker. On my way home some lady decided to cut right out in front of me and I rear ended her  front bumper is completely done, the grill is cracked, and the core support got a little more worked into the radiator(it was already bent a a little from an accident the original owner had.
Yes I took a bunch of good pictures until I got home and realized my camera had fallen out of the truck somewhere :stopit:

Ya. I'll have to see what insurance will do for me cause I really don't want the truck fixed, I just want some money for a tube bumper. I will take it if they want to fix the truck though.

dude if its under your name in the insurance and you tell them you wrecked, they are gonna raise your prices a lot because of your age. and most likely since you hit her, even though she pulled out in front of you, they will blame you for it. if you don't have to pay anything to her, i'd leave it alone and just pay up for a bumper, it'll probably be cheaper than paying the higher insurance.

and for the bed bob, idk about that.. if you want an expedition rig then i'd leave it full size. mines a rock crawler and i want to keep it full size, theres almost no room in them anyway. and the shell bob would probably be pretty hard, especially bobing the glass.

I have it figured out, but I think i'm just not gonna file a claim and deal with it myself. I will tell you the full story on it when we finally get around to working on my rig.  It's gonna be close to $500 to buy a tube bumper for it, so I will probably just cut the stock front bumper up and make it work until I can build my own bumper later on. Thats $500 that needs to be going into getting my 91 on the rocks not making the taco look cool.

Ya, it's nice to get away from the walls of snow every once in a while haha. I hate mud but it's always fun to get out in the woods.

I have a tacoma and I have seriously considered long travel over SAS.  Currently it's a puck lift and ride is way harsh.  If there is any possibility that it will see some harsh off road trails that would put some strain on the front diff and cv axles then I would probably go SAS. But for a DD and camping i'd go long travel.  Nice truck.

Ya the spacer lift I have is way ruff riding. It wont's see to ruff of trails since I have another rig that is dedicated to rock crawling, however I plan on taking this truck offroad for exploring around. I would like to long travel it but I don't like dealing with cv boot problems all the time, I think I am going to ditch the spacer lift and put the bilstein's that I have sitting in my shop on it, get aftermarket uca's and see how it goes.

I have been tossing around the idea of sas or long travel lately, and I really can't decide. I would like a sas and use this as kind of a back up rig and dd, on the other hand I want Lt because it would drive great on the road and be fun to take it to the dunes and stuff. Long travel is going to be almost twice the cost of sas but it just might be worth it. I have a while to figure it out anyways because any money I have gets thrown into my crawler. Heres a picture with the blacked out grill and the front bumper ripped off,

ya I think i'm going to wait it out until I can go Lt. I can't stand chrome either, but I am going to build tube bumpers front and rear for it when I get the time and some tube. I do still need to do the door handles, the toyota taco emblem on the door and the little lock on the gas latch. Also I took of the shell and put my tool box in the back, i'll take pictures tommorow but I think it looks way better.
