15x12 fitment?
« on: Jan 14, 2005, 06:17:12 AM »
I am looking at some American Racing Outlaws II 15x12's. They were on a 90 suburban. Will they fit on a 85 toyota. I know the bolt pattern is the same but this wheel has 4" bs. Will that interfere with steering parts? Thanks, David

usually you try and get a 3.5 or lower bs... i dont know if the 4 will interfere, i have an 86 4runner with 3.75 bs and they are just fine.  :twocents:
86 Toyota 4runner, 33X12.5-15 Aurora RT/02's on Series 97 15X10 rock crawlers, 3" performance body lift, Rancho RS5000's... Soon to be Marlin 1200 Clutch, tube bumper front and rear, nerf bars and roof rack... future plans include SAS 5.29's detroits!

So if they don't fit I could use spacers. I've heard its bad to use them but some people use them to widen the front end. Thanks for the reply.

If there 3.75 thats good.  Just for future referance 4" hits the tie rod end on a 79-85 solid axle, unless your running IFS hubs.

Which you should be doing anyways  and also wheel spacers are good, except for they have the tendency to come loose and possibly loose a wheel :-\\ depends on ure amount of city driving also.

For now Ill try to get by without using the spacers if the wheels clear ok. But whenever I swap to the wider rear axle I'll find some ifs hubs. Thanks for the info
