did you not get any more power after the shorty header??
are you still running the stock 20R carb??

I hate my shorty Wish I would have kept my long tube one of the worst trades I ever made.

It's a 20r, it doesn't produce power but
You can run 5k plus on the tac all day and she'll still purr.. I drove the heck out of mine and now the next guy is. Good motors, just no power.

I agree they are gutless but super dependable.

Got rid of all the EGR stuff yesterday. Also checked the timing which by the way was WAAAY off. Took it for another drive  :hyper: Hoping to all the little stuff buttoned up and find some tires so I can go to Browns camp 4th of July weekend

The welder has a less failure rate than you. And you were blaming it on the timing gun... Tisk Tisk

Where was it set before? Mine loved 10*. Toss the timing light and slowly advance it till it sounds good and is more responsive.

83 Crawler

It was way before the timing mark

So i went to start it this morning and it wouldnt start.  :(  i put gas in it, it wasnt that. yesterday i replaced the spark plug wires so i checked those and they were fine. Checked the spark plug to make sure they were getting good spark, good to go on those. so then my friend checked the fuel pressure. unhooked one of fuel lines to the fuel pump, cranked it over and it started! i think i ran down the tank down so far that it sucked up some of the stuff on the bottom and clogged the lines ha.

Anyways, getting the  front end inspected tomorrow because the steering wheel has a really bad scary wobble at 35 mph.
