Just a little update

Got my truck back from toyotanner this week. Sent it over there to have the brakes done and some other little mechanical problems fixed. The weber I bought from a guy on here turned out to be bad so now I gotta look into a new one

Worked on the truck with my dad this week and got a lot of little things done.

Got the dome light to work!!  :hyper:

and put in the sr5 gauge cluster with working gauges/lights!!

Still gotta figure out why my reverse lights aren't working and my hazards. This thing is a wiring nightmare thanks to the previous owner. IDIOT  :shake_head:

Oh yeah. I wanted to ask what kind of bulb does the dome light take?
I just got some headlight for mine. Now it will take H4 bulbs.

in the owner manual it says it takes  (12v, 3cp) 5 watt. luckily for me there was a spare in the glove box when i bought it lol

Does the bulb look like this?

I dont have the manual but the numbers you gave show a bulb light and im sure the truck takes a fuse style bulb.
I also wanted to ask you about your 5-speed trans. Witch one did you put in? I know one fits right up with no modifications.

the only modification we had to do was to grind down the splines of the transfercase a little but other than that it fit right in.

Haven't really updated anything but I have acquired some parts and made a list of some future plans.

Mount new seats
Replace column with a tilt column
Find a tilt column cover
Install back carpet
Buy a new carburetor
Take body lift off/replace with stock body mounts
Install power steering
33' Tires
Paint wheels
Hi-steer
Find IFS box
Install mirrors
Fix blinkers and reverse lights
Sand and repaint door
Decide whether I wanna stick with vinyl or switch to carpet
Cut bumper off
Try and get rid of the rust in bed then bedliner
Repaint hubs
Find passenger side windshield wiper
Install stock CB
Replace valve cover seal
Replace timing cover seal
Ill have pictures up tomorrow when I've made some progress  :gap:

Are you still needing a weber carb? What was wrong with the weber you got?

Reason I ask is, I have an extra parts weber sitting here. It needed a rebuild but I scored a brand new one for $75 so instead I just put the new one in my truck. Its kinda in pieces as I stole the adapter off of it. Its all there. I did the weber climb a hill mod and kinda screwed up the upper plate. However, depending on what the deal is with the one you have, the two will probably make a good carb. If it'll be of some use let me know.

I'm just gonna buy a new one off ebay. I bought a weber off here from someone and it turned out to be crap. Thanks for the offer but no thanks  not really too sure whats wrong with my weber but all i know is my truck will not rev and when you try it just back fires from the top of the carburetor.

Did u just drop it on and go? Play with jets and timing at all?

The weber is one of the hardest carbs to get running right, but once you do it runs great. But its still a pain in the butt. Hence why I'm putting a 3rz in now lol.

Good luck and nice little truck!

As far as the blinkers and lights not working. Follow the harness from the front of the cab back. My guess is the wires have been cut somewhere. Pick up a cheap test light and check for power at the bulbs. If they have power, then you know your lights aren't being grounded.

Its very cool your dad is helping you out and your boy toy  has a toyota as well. My father doesn't even know what a solid axle is.
