Hi everyone, I'm Jeff and I live in Canby which is south of Portland.  I've been a avid wheeler for probably the last 25 years starting in my early high school days.  I've been a chevy K5 owner all of this time and finally figured it was time to downsize to a smaller rig since my kids are all grown up and have rigs of their own.

Over this current weekend I sold the K5 and picked up a 1983 truck (I believe a shortbed), looks like it has a 6" all spring lift, 3" body lift, running 35" BFG's.  PO told me the rear axle has been swapped in from a 4runner, need to figure out how to verify that.  He also told me that it has a 22R-E, but is carb'd with a weber carb.  But she is sporting 5.29 gears.  I'm very new to the toyota world.  I've been on a lot of forums before so I know a lot of the rules apply throughout the forum world, but there still might be the occasional stupid questions.  Its inevitable, everyone does it  :hammerhead:

Soon as my post count gets a bit higher I'll post up some pics of what she looks like.

So who else is in Oregon that I can call on for help if ever needed or to just shoot the bull?

So how many of us Oregon people live around the Canby area?  I might be needing some help trying to identify some stuff and replace some if not all the emissions stuff to pass DEQ cause apparently the previous owner decided to gut the engine bay of all that stuff.  I even have to completely redo the exhaust, it goes from the stock manifold to straight pipe to a muffler right above the rear axle to about 2 feet of pipe existing the rear.

Tillamook here...

the 4runner axles are the same as the trucks as far as i know.... but 86 and above were wider and are better to keep the tires away from the frame while flexing...

Without searching through all my crap... here is an easy link http://www.partsdinosaur.com/page9.html
