so im thinking about tearing my TG 5 inch front apart and making a new leaf. they have "broken in" and are seriously low i mean i witnessed a t100 mall crawler on 33's that was higher than my rig. It flexes like nuts though so im kinda at a loss as what to do? :dunno: :headscratch:
LOW IS THE WAY TO GO! ! ! ! unless you liked that TONd out K5 on 44s at my shop. . im sure he'll trade ya. . lol

Good looking rig. Do you live in the manteca area I have seen this in manteca before. I remember the exhaust

go as low as possible with the short wheel base, make it wider that it is tall... you dont have to worry about high centering with short wheelbase, just run some 40's an you should be all good

86sasturbo

thanks guys i fixed it, turns out my front shackles shad worked them selfs lose and it was sagging big time so i got down there with some CHEATER BARS and tightend them up and its fixed sitting level and its purttyy damn wide with those front 3 inch spacers lol and 1.5 rears. Also yes this truck has been in manteca quit a few times i go to bass pro out there its the closet one. I spend hours in that place and 100's of dollars but you can never ahve to much ammo

Thats where I saw it. To bad the ammo is always out at bass pro I have to go on the days they get shipments.

i run double nuts so i can leave the shackle just loose enough so the leaf spring can move well and not be bound up at all and tighten up the other one against it. looks goofy, works well.
the rocks Rock in South D SON!

86sasturbo

i would double nut it but it allready hits my cat when i turn etc i would cut but im letting it clearence itself out lol it is technacly illegal in ca to mod a cat haha so im letting the shackle do work. i orginally tightned them with my electric impact gun and then snugged them with a crescent and socket. but i had 300 miles on them/ i figure good rule of thumb is tighten all suspension bolts every 100-150 mi plus add a quart of oil every long trip hhaha hasnet failed yet

SCyotacrawler420

get bead locks, an run no tire pressure, you can lower it that way :) an then fill your tires with water so you have lower weight instead of alot of upper weight, or heat up your springs... yo should shoot for 25 or 26

yota4x4sc

ya heatin yo springs is the way to go.. thats how the cholos do it.. u know they do it right :boobs:

86sasturbo

so like i said before my truck is looking weak and i am starting to not like this 5 inch lift here are some current pics of the truck and my broken foot

"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

86sasturbo

allright figured out why my truck was sagging it was becuase i rammed the curb like 7 days ago when i parked it when i backed off of it it leveled out im dumb for reals on that one
okay so here is my current shackle angle after the springs have been on for about 3 weeks does this look ok? when i did everything it was at 15 so figure it around 20-25 now

also with my old lift kit my front axle was moved more foreward so my shock hoops look like this

does any one see any problems with this? the shocksa rnt binding or anything they are to long for sure though
1 more thing anyone in the bayarea looking at this want to help me weld my new 3rd? i never have done one and need some tips i bought the old one welded  that would be cool if anyone wouldnt mind helping me
"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

If you're serious about setting up your own gears just do some research. Here is a good place to start.

http://gearinstalls.com/

I started with almost no knowledge about setting up gears and was able to put together a set of 5.29s after I researched.
