hey guys its been a hwole since ive updated so here it is finally got my full size spare mounted up its a old km bfg but its a 35 and good tread
and mounted my hi lift

then i headed to bayshore truck in liver more and had them build me a super over kill rear shaft, super thick tubing, new spicer u joints and lengthened to fit my truck it rides like a honda! and it will do 65mph no worries and wobbles

then i got a good deal on a older all pro cage so i slapped it in today the only mod i hope to never use offroad!

ha ha i like that, "the only mod i hope to never use" (in regards to your rollcage). Sounds about right doesn't it?!

Dig the ride man, any plans to the engine or just concentrating on the 4x4 portion of the build as of now? And as for your welded spider gears it looks like you welded only the gears to themselves? I had the same thing happen to my rig as yours back when i welded my first third then i started welding the spider gears together, then putting a chunk of thick plated steel on top of the spider gears on both sides and welding the crapola outta em all around! Has yet to do me wrong in the years i've run them like that fyi, detroits are pricey!      ha ha

yeah i just hit it up with some rattle can black, and  then wrapped it in that gray foam, ive allready landed once on the dashboard and it hurt enough, id rather not get a face full of grade 8 bolts. so its nice and safe also thanks again dude for the cage i like it, stiffened up the ride alot around corners. seems to handle alot better

Yota Rolla

yea you could always gusset it up when we do your bumper

86sasturbo

thanks for the kind words minicrawlin, yeah i had bought the 3rd welded i personally didnt do it myself (scouts honer) :gap:
but when it blew it took out the whole rear and caused me ALOT OF PROBLEMS, so as of now im open f&r and hate it i told my 4x4 club members its not touching dirt till its locked again, im thinking spartan locker from marlin front and rear! then longs of coarse
"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

86sasturbo

i deffintly will have you guys add a rear 5 point harness bar forsure im done with factory belts
"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

minicrawlin

no wonder your paint looks so much better then mine then!! ha ha ha

i hear you on causing problems, mine busted, shot through the axle housing and almost flipped me, all on a first date on the backroads! ha ha And word on the longs dude! i run an aussie locker front and welded rear. Ran welded rear for long time till i got the front now it's pop pop pop everytime i hit the trail it seems ha ha If i was you on the budget i'd weld the rear like i was saying all crazy like and spartan the front IMO but welded does tear up tires faster then a lunchbox locker! Cool truck man!

86sasturbo

thanks again! im trying on a shoesting college budget. i may just weld the rear crazy like you said but i like making u turns 8) its so much easier to drive with the rear open. its my DD and also everytime those rear tires would chirp i would just imagine dollar bills burning up

ha ha ha I know it dude! My truck was my DD too until just recently and i had to buy new rear tires before the fronts were worn, and being able to turn is nice!

"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

mxer833

dude theres a gut with yota parts for yur truck, 23 spline transfer case and 488 gears! cheap!

86sasturbo

really kevin? in what the yota section? i neeed duals but hopefully i got this new job with bnsf railway making 1800 every 2 weeks then its new diesel time and 4 link and coilovers on tons
"If you cant fix it with a hammer you more than likely have a electrical problem."

86sasturbo

so im thinking about tearing my TG 5 inch front apart and making a new leaf. they have "broken in" and are seriously low i mean i witnessed a t100 mall crawler on 33's that was higher than my rig. It flexes like nuts though so im kinda at a loss as what to do? :dunno: :headscratch:
