Updated: Calico run Halloween weekend

Getting a small group together to go up and camp out at Calico and run a few of the trailes oct. 29-31.   Plan is to leave bakersfield friday afternoon/night, set up camp in the canyon, wheel/hang out all weekend, then head out early sunday.  If anyone wants to join us, your more than  :welcome:.

I'll hook up with you on friday night but i will have to leave around 4pm saturday for a 40th/Halloween party.. Count me in Edwin.

Have you moved for Bakersfield yet? My friend and i are heading out to Cougar Buttes next weekend, your more than welcome to join us.

I'm here, not moved yet though.  still trying to find a place and staying with my dad for the time being. where is cougar buttes?  sounds like fun.  maybe i'll drive the toyota here for that week and go along with you guys.

Its in Lucerene valley, west of the Hammers. So roughly 35-40 minutes from I-15 out of Victor Ville. I PM you my cell # if you are interested in going.

We are heading out after work on friday 1st and will return home on sunday. I usually drive it, its 35 miles from my house in Hesperia, I might bring my GF's toy box out, not sure yet im going to ask her this weekend, if not im going to tent it. I probably wont leave my house till 7:30pm, so if its easier for you, your more than welcome to meet me at my house.

looks like they have some kind of haloween program going on that weekend, and the following weekend.  campgrounds are all booked.  we might have to make a trip to the ghost town and check it out. :snapshot:

Calico is good times for sure. Our club wrecked4x4 is doing our annual halloween run out there the weekend after your planing on going. Trail gear donated alot of good stuff for our raffle this year it's gonna be good. If you change your mind look it up it's on our website www.wrecked4x4.com

Edwin, have you camped at Rainbow Basin Campground? That should have sites available.

You can also camp on Mule Canyon/Phillips Rd. if you don't mind dry camping.

Talked with my son today and it may be a go at least for the day, he's really excited to actually wheel his 4Runner. He was laughing saying that now he's the driver and I'll be the Co-Pilot.
