Sounds great, talked with Rocks For Brains and he's roaring to take his 4Runner to one of his favorite places for its maiden voyage.

Edwin, I got out of the poker run, so I'm in for calico. Sweatmeat, is there room for a car hauler? Or would it be better for me just to drive my runner in? My co-pilot and I have small tents so we won't take up much room .

Odessa trail is a piece of cake. The gate keeper is the only one im concerned with it had a 4foot under cut that ur drivers rear would fall into every time. We lost 3 rear axles on that obstacle last we where there. I was next in line for it and i told the guys to go fly a kite, and I backed out. I also drove my toy to and from the trail. I carry a cut down spare rear axle underneath my toy that u can use if needed. I'm going to trailer mine because we are forecasted light rain Friday and maybe Saturday.

Here's the scoop, the first pic that Gamera posted is the gate keeper, last time i was there ( about 10 months ago) there was a nasty under cut. 3 out of 5 rigs broke axles. 2 Toyota's and 1 D44. The guys where trying to go through it on there own power, those guys broke. The other 2 winched through it, with minor body damage, they got through it. I was next in line #6. I didn't have a winch at the time nor did i carry a rear axle with me, so i pussed out because i knew i would break.   :nope: We tried to build it up with rocks and no dice. I have been wanting to go back and drive through it, but just didn't have the time. I now have a winch and carry a rear axle just for this obstacle... :eyebrow:

No there where a 86 runner, single cab toy, and  YJ all running 37's and all broke the left rears except for my friend in the runner, he broke the left rear and tryied to winch afterwards and broke the right front.

HDcruiser

Heres are a couple of pic's from the last time we where there. My friend is in the red runner. He's also a experianced, the terain was F-ed up that weekend and washed out alot of the trail from the rains we had. All 5 people keeped falling in the same hole.

HDcruiser

Here is a couple more pics of us pulling my friend out broken.

I usually drive to the trials, i used to drive my flatfender everywhere before i sold it. Now i bought a trailer last january and have only used it once.  :smack: I plan on takeing the trailer, your more than welcome to store the shell in the trailer.

superyota

i just put new tail lenses in(broke 1 out on soup bowl and 1 into a tree).  should i take them out when i get there, or will i be ok?  just don't want to buy another set of lenses so soon.  i'm going to give it a shot.  looks like fun.
