need advice?

i was wondering what is better my brother is getting his drivers license in 2 months and have found 3 toyotas he wants but since hes new at the whole wrenching process which one is best for him

#1 is a 91 4runner with a d44 and rear 60 4inch lift  it needs brake lines hooked up vaccum lines replaced crossover steering new tires come with bald 42s

#2 is a 85 4runner stock with over 500k miles the motor needs to be replaced but im not sure he could tackle an engine rebuild yet

#3 is a 83 toyota truck with a swapped in 22ret 33s no lift and has about 15 leaks
i just dont want him to buy a money pi

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

#2, replacing a motor will give him great apperecation of the rig he will hopefully not beat on it. And he will become a better wheeler with a stock truck, building it as he goes.

Agreed, #2.  Engine swaps are easy, so long as your swapping in the same engine.  If he decides to rebuild it, well, I rebuilt my first 22re at age 16 for my first truck ('94 2wd pickup).

#2 and drop a rebuilt motor in it and drive it another 500K.
