Thanks, it was great to see it outside in the sun. It's a really solid truck, fun to drive around. You and Dan should come out to moonrocks with me for the test run.

how she drive on the highway?  did you run you link measurements through the calc?
Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
There are only 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count and those who can't. Which are you?

Still not registered, so no highway yet. I have not run them through the calculator yet.

So I am having brake problems. My brand new calipers are leaking fluid out of the bleader screw, they just will not seal. They leak out of the hole itself not the threads, so I tried another set of brand new bleaders with no succes. Actually the old ones that came with the calipers seem to seal more than the new ones. Any ideas?

Other than that I am waiting on my driveshaft that davez offroad is building to be done, and the 4xinnovations kit should be here pretty soon. Then I either need to spend the money and get insurance, smog, and register it, or go green sticker it.

What copper washers? :ack:  I didn't see any on my calipers or the ones that I got with the axle, besides the ones were the flex line bolts to the caliper.

yes on the banjo bolts there is one that goes inbetween the head of the bolt and then one on the other side then you bolt it to the caliper  but other than that no. Ive had them leak before when the washer is old and smashed.

No it is leaking out of the bleader screw itself. Sorry I just re read my original post and I never said were they were leaking from.

Huh.. ive never seen that.  They might have done somthing to the calipers when they rebuilt them ( if they are kragen/autozone specials)  like having to drill out the screw they may have taken it down to far or somthing else odd.  Id take them back

Do you have pictures?   i'm thinking you and Iron Clad are thinking of two different setups (maybe?)

Does it have banjo bolts going into the caliper or the 10mm slip on that goes over the brake line?

EDIT: I just re-read it, not leaking from any of those just the bleeder valve. When you pulled off the older bleeder valve for the new one did you happen to check the threads or as far inside the caliper as you could see?  maybe blockage somewere.

Shamb the threads looked ok. I was not able to get a good look as I was trying not to lose all of the fluid from my lines. The calipers do seam to be engraving 3/4 of a circle into the very end of the bleader screw though.

that bleeder valve has a beveled edge at the end, possible that it's not lineing up right when you tighten it to get a good seal.

did you look at the end of the bleeder valves that you pulled off to see if it was scared at all?

you might have to pull the brake line, cap it off (or plug it) and take a closer look at the caliper when you pull the bleeder valve off.

Yep just inspected them, they are scared right in the middle of bevel on the end. I'll have to get the fluid out of the caliper so I can take a look in there.

that things still to clean and nice to just slap a green sticker alone on it. do a dual registration. you can have it green stickered and have a license plate. i just did it to my truck last week before i went to the con. my trucks plates are currently non-op, but its legit and legal to drive on the trails.

I've never heard of that. I didn't search all that hard but I can't find anything about it on dmv about vehicles, only motorcycles. So right now you can only run trails, but if you ever wanted to you could register it for street no proble,?
