Whos got an AR?

I told myself today I was just going to look at the gun store today... Ya right...

Ended up puttin down the dough for a Stag Arms 5.56/.223 stripped lower. Im super excited about this. Planning on making a varmint/coyote gun.

Anybody on the board own an AR and wanna share pics and specs? Anybody wanna discuss the AR they wish they had?

I have two of them. One m4 style and the other a varmint rifle. If you live in CA be sure to build it CA legal with the use of a fixed mag(bullet button) or go featureless to utilize a detachable mag.

i just have a basic bushmaster 16 inch heavy barrel carbine.

How do you like the bushmaster? I was thinking either a DPMS sweet 16 upper or a bushmaster predator upper, and with the bullet button of course.

Never had a problem with it. Shoots every time and shoots well.

u can use any bottom, friend is selling a spike......buy the cheapest one.....thay are all mil specks.  Armalite internals are good as well....it would be hard to find colt internals......I have a noveske m4complete, i have 3k into to it,  which i kept my colt...

You cant own a full auto. Unless you get a special permit and your state allows it.

Mines an Olympic Arms lower which I paid 120. and a complete A2 M&A parts kit with a 20" hvy bbl which was 420. in 98. I have roughly 10k rounds through it and it still functions and shoots flawless. I priced a DPMS AR10 stripped lower at 179.00 from Murphys in Tucson. I'll do it on my next trip. I bought the wifey her first piece this trip

I have a dpms match varmint upper... Stag arms lower and a 14x Leupold on top. I build it to shoot coyotes.

i've almost got the okay from the wife to buy/build an AR-10.

gonna build a .308 platform, guys at work got a group buy on lowers for $180

magpul butt-stock's $255, lower parts kit is around $100... the upper i want is close to $1200

  you should be able to find one for way cheaper than that, a good one as well!

yea i can find 'em cheaper but just not what i want... they've got 'em from around $650 and up

Spend the money on it now. U will regret it when it shoots about a 3 inch group at 100

lwrc makes the upper that  he linked to. too bad u need to use their lower as well. on .308 AR's not all parts will interchange.

I like dmps stuff.  If I were to build one, I'd have a hard time not going with the 6.5 grendel, despite having lots of .308 ammo already.
