any pics of 3rd gen beds on a sec gen truck?

ive got a friend who wants to trade me a third gen bed for some front lift springs i was wonderin if any one has done that cause id reallyl ike to see how it looks

The body lines are off. Not as much as a second gen bed on a 1st gen.  Ive seen a 2nd gen with a 3rd gen bed but it just doesnt look right since the 3rd gen beds are more curvy without the very hard lines of a 2nd gen if that makes sense.

Looks a lil weird. But function over fourm. Lots of 2nd gen beds are rusted to all hell. For body line keeping best would be to find a 2nd gen 2wd bed.

Not sure if it would help but I have a 2nd gen short bed here at our shop which is in great shape. Only down side is the paint is maroon.  Awful color to me.

There is a guy here in Portland Oregon that has a 84 with one on it that is bobed. I think it looks good. He just posted it today on cl I can try to post some pics tomorrow or you can look it up

85 with 4" springs, 33's and my 94 bed that came off my prerunner build, colors were way off obviously but looks alright other than that.  All the body mounts lined up perfect except for one of the two rear mounts on each side, wasnt an issue though, was more than solid enough, tail lights plugged in no problems, very straight forward process.  I always thought it would have looked really good if it would have had the high clearance fiberglass front fenders that are cut with a round opening, just my .02
