upper shock mounts
« on: Jul 10, 2010, 10:07:31 PM »
with regards to factory upper mount for sfa toyota trucks/4runner and the trend of putting new shocks (extended length) with looped mounts (upper and lower) on hoops/towers, I just wonder why the upper mount is so position that it is parallel with the lower.... thus having only movements laterally? I know there is some movement backward and forward during full extension and compression of the leaf spring... or is it just negligible that the mounts/bushing can tolerate the movement?
