shock mounts
« on: Oct 10, 2005, 09:43:14 PM »
i am wondering in the rear if it is really that bad to do /\ or if pirate is just full of retards.  i would buy sky's but i dont really know that much about that kinda setup.  i also want to go with f250 shock mounts up front and i am wondering if that is a good setup or a waste of time.  need to get crackin on this building up project.  the only direction so far has been down.

just checking out all the possiblilities and prices cuz i need to do the whole lift in under a grand preferably but so far that is seeming wishful thinking and that includes crossover steering.

Mounting the rear shocks straight up and down would give it more stability on the road.  But then they would have to be long enough for the axle to flex.  and to be long enough to get good flex out of them they would have to go through the bed losing bed space.  thats one reason i didn't go that route.  I actually think my truck handles pretty good on the road for what it is.
