Problem: Turn signals do not flash. The turn signal lights come on interior and exterior but they do not cycle on and off. The emergency flashers work correctly.
i took apart the flasher and it looked clean and operated great with the flashers on but never cycled with the turn signals. The previous owner put  square trailer lights on the front as turn signals. Is it possible this could be a problem?

Well what do you think ? Of course it could be the problem Im sure he cut the wiring to do it
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Do the trailer lights work when using the flashers? If so they are not the problem. Even though they are different circuits the wiring beyond that would be the same. If you want disconnect the trailer lights and if they now work and they will blink real fast then they are the the issue but I don't think it will make a difference. I've never had an issue with any on a Toyota but I would assume there are two flashers, one for the emergancy and one for the turn signal so if you may need to find the second one. I just looked at a Tundra here at work and it has two.

only one flasher operates both signals. i will try to disconnect the other lights to see what happens.

You're right, just checked an 80 and it only has a single flasher.

If the front flashers are disconnected the blinkers wont work

just stopped by advance and picked a new flasher up for 3.99. it was cheap enough to take a chance. i hope that fixes it.

It's probably your flasher relay.

That did the trick. It sure is nice to not have to cycle the light manually. I was starting to walk down the sidewalk saying in my head " On, Off, On , Off, On , Off"
