AHHHHH seriously? thats what i was kinda wondering, but figured they'd be same design maybe but possibly not, but that engine rips so maybe! do they got more uumph or something ha ha Not sure of engine to be honest but call PO tomorrow i suppose. . . . . . celica engine!!? this sucks dude!
I'm pretty sure its a celica motor also. Could be as simple as swaping the oil pickup but I'm not to into these 20r/22r/e motors quite yet. I'll let some one else chime in probably glen will tomorrow.
does anyone know if the 22RE have the same oil pickup as the 22R? i would assume so but i'm not sure and you know what happens when you assume, you make an out of U and ME ha ha
Why dont you try a different pitman arm?
Yep, they are identical! just get yourself a 22r or 22re 4x4 oil pan and pickup tube! I had that same problem with a 20r celica engine in my 84 reg cab.... my axle was moved way forward and I only had push pull..... climbing my oil would all run to the back of the pan and starve for oil.... it was gay
my 93 22re the oil pickup tube bolts to the front then runs to the back and drops down, rear sump
I'm pretty sure his tie rod will hit the gigantic hump in the front of his oil pan there
ok, somebody should have pm'ed me earlieryes its a Celica motor, all you need to do is get a rear sump oil pan from a 4wd and the matching pickup tube, it will bolt right in no problems, OH and you dont need to find another dip stick they are the same.
OH, and you can get the pan and oil pump from any 20R 22R or 22RE from 75 to 95
