If you don't high steer it, then you should put in a drop drag link.  Lots of companies sell them, but I think Rancho is the only place that manufacturs them.  Otherwise, your truck won't turn right as well...the stock drag link becomes too short.  It is worse when you go past 4 inches, but that seems to be all the stock link can handle.

You will need a drop drag link like they said but once you break a couple J-arms you will be more than willing to cough up the money for the hi steer. Changing out a J arm on the trail isn't fun! And they are not to hard to break especially after removing the torque rod (track bar). Plus, with the hi steer you get way more flex. I'm love'n mine!!!!!!

Your much better off using high steer. Superlift also makes a drop drag link but using the push pull with any kind of lift is a hokey deal.

The prices of quality (non-cast arms) has come waaaay down lately. I have OTT steering. Once you drive a lifted truck with the stock set-up...you'll start saving for high steer pretty soon.

from past experiance, if you run a spring pack that consist more of four leaf springs you will need to run a reverse nipple j-arm and run a drop drag link cause with a regular j-arm, the drag link will hit the springs and you will not be able to turn right...  so you will need to grind the welds off of the j-arm and press the ball out... then press it in the other way and then weld it in place...

How bout this one, this may sound stupid but I dunno if I can run a hi-steer setup with no lift.  I'm sellin an 87  bed for $350 tomorrow and need to start buyin parts to lift my 1980 lb, and figure this will be one of the more expensive parts of my venture but wasn't sure if I could install it now with no lift.  I also have a ps box from a 91 runner that I'll probably put in at the same time if I need to.
First time I ever saw hi-steer was on a 90ish nissan that had chromed toy axles under it, sittin at a scummy little car lot in the ghetto, strange I thought,  Nate

My shocks hit my steering arms, so to my friends.  I don't think it hurts that much, the shock still has movement.
