Lion hunting sounds fun. You do that out further west? I hunted area 35 a few years back for a buck. Saw plenty of Elk haha, no deer though. Good luck to you too

That sounds BA. Those all seem to be good areas for Lions. Have hunted them all and seen sign of them. Taking one with a bow would be killer, definitly more of a challenge. Good luck man!

rifel cam in last monday here hunted hard in the rain monday and tuesday saw one doe.  saw 9 doe today still no buck ( didnt buy a doe tag this year)

Dad shot his cow today. Last day of the season, last 5 minutes of light. 75 yard shot uphill. Dropped her where she stood. Gotta love that 7mm STW. Me on the other hand came home empty handed this year. I had a chance but couldnt get the shot off quick enough. Im kind of disappointed about it but what the hell Im happy that there is gonna be some meat in the freezer. Already stoked to give 2012 a try.

Congrats to your pops, sorry to hear you came up empty handed this year. 2012 season should be great.  Saw alot of 32"spikes, forks, 3x3's and so on so there should be alot of legal bulls. I'm already planning for 2012 season myself.  You know the opening day you can apply for tags online for the season. Trying to draw early as I can so I can get a either sex deer tag for 211 private

I always try to get into the draw early on. Gonna hunt bull first season in area 500.

Dropped off the bull at the taxidermist on Monday.  Getting a semi sneek with right turn mount.  Hopefully I get it back in about 8-12 months since he's a 1 man operation.

well next monday is the last day of late archery/flintlock still no venison in my freezer itll be on to the coyote huntin for the rest of the winter hope i see something on saturday i really wanna make some jerkey

Thanks Z's, my local taxidermist here in Ca did the work. I was really impressed with his work. The bull was taken from you neck of the woods, up in meeker, CO.

We got small game season opening real soon......Gonna try and bust some bunny wabbits with my long bow. Bow season for white tails starts next week also but it's to damn hot right now to shoot one if ya ask me.  I may go out opening morning anyhow just to say I was there..........Maybe I'll just take my camera.
