Yup, and one of them runs. I was given one about 15 years ago, tried to get it running right away and found broken pieces in the crankcase. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I got this one said to be in running condition, but needing starter work, and maybe carburetor work. It arrived and the starter didn't engage, I swapped the cup from the other saw, put in gas, and it started. If I hold the throttle wide open it runs a couple seconds, then cuts out, and will still idle if I back off on the throttle, will run medium throttle continuously too.

I found new old stock carburetor kit, duckbill, filter, and mounting gasket online, and have them on the way. Also swapped the kill switch, it was loose and needed to be held all the way over until the engine stopped. Got the chain from the sharpener yesterday, the guy is old enough to remember them, and said it was 1961-1963 era. He really got a kick out of seeing it, pulled up a chair and sat down and looked it over. Then he had a bigger grin when we went outside and started it.

Now thats how I need to remount my shocks!!! I mean who needs a traction bar AND shocks when you can kill 2 birds with one stone? :yupyup:

I had those on my 1st truck, they looked so awesome, I also had the solid version on my 80 and they actually worked. As to the grind on the carrier, had that happen to.... loose pinion nut.

yeah pinion nut reused pretty sure.  No Loctite and not staked.  Probably improper torque and preload.( I read Zuk's site  :greengrin:) BOO!

US Gear 5.29s on 35s with the 3.0
