I would love something like that for a tow rig.......But I am sick like that.

I have been looking for an old early 70s model ford full size station wagon, I wanna put a 4BT in it for my tow rig. Long wheel base, Stout frame, And a place to sleep in the back. :gap:

Soon as you mount it on a barge and haul it to your little Island. Maybe find a nice inlet and leave it on the barge.

A friend of mine I worked with had a recall rig Nice stock truck, It had never really ever been offroad or treated to bad weather. You look at his frame and it looked prefect from the outside. It was about to break in half like the one in that picture. I was a shame very nice truck and they poured some kinda stuff in the motor and gear boxes so they couldn't be salvaged. And they wouldn't let you leave with the truck if rust was found.

Further up towards the end of the road. It used to go further back when I first started going up there but our wonderful buddies from the forest circus blocked it off just like every other road around here it would seem.  ::)

Many pictures at the link.

We are pleased to present this 1962 International Scout 80 4x4 for purchase. International Harvester developed the Scout as a precursor of more sophisticated SUV's to come. The only other 4-wheel drive recreational vehicles offered at the time were Jeeps. 1962 was the 2nd model year Scouts were offered. The Scouts became known for their ability to go anywhere and have high durability. They are a key part of automotive history being considered the first SUV.

This Scout is a very unusual find. This vehicle was purchased in Michigan to plow snow, but the owner ended up never using it for that purpose. Instead he kept the vehicle for 50 years, and barely drove it. This is an all original Scout with under 2,800 original miles. The paint, tires, split rims, interior, floor mats, and spare tire are all original. The windshield folds down, and the top is removable. It's a 4x4 powered by the 152cu in inline 4 cylinder with a 3-speed manual transmission. You will never be able to find another Scout like this in this great condition. A vehicle is only original once, and this is a collector's dream find. Please call or email for more details!

We had a 1963 Scout 80, got rid of it due to the insane amount of rust everywhere... Those 4 bangers are a V8 with the drivers side cylinders cut off and blocked... slant 4, pretty cool little engine!

I was amazed to see one in this condition. Usually if you want to know specifics about how things were when they were new you had to ask an old timer, but with this one you can just look at it. Very cool.
