Used to work at a gas station in high school. And would see that all the time with manual trans. But not a auto.

The best was the drunks, or stoners pulling in, and smacking the door on the posts caving them in. And they couldn't figure out why they can't open their door!!

My first job at 14 was at a service station. We still did oil and windows. The cash register was out on the island with the pumps.

The best was watching guys drive away to quick and break the nozzle and hose off.

Though I also worked at one of those stations, and here's my dating it was at an Atlantic Richfield Company Station, for those that can't figure it out just use the initials. I also worked at a Union 76 Station too, now known as Unocal.

I pumped full service gas at a Cracker Barrel restaurant when I was 16, Carried a big wad of cash in my shirt pocket and had one of those change thingies on my belt, We would take the cash inside to the cashier when the bundle got too big. I was out thee a few times when we were busy with 7 or 8 hundred dollars in my pocket.
