You guys ever broke a wheel stud??  I have never seen one break, unless it was rusted on there, or someone cross threaded the piss out of it.

I agree or you are over/under torquing them

Well, i called around and only had a few people interested. I was bummed. so here it is.

100 pcs: $19.58 ea

200 pcs: $12.34 ea

500 pcs: $7.82 ea

1000 pcs: $6.21 ea

Lead time: 9-10 weeks

Right now I'de say I have about 200 pcs sold. But at 12.34 a pop it would be $160ish for 12 shipped and im not sure how many people would be down for that. Thats a little spendy.

If we could get 300 more units sold, it would drop it to $100 shipped per 12. That is much more reasonable.

So yeah. I called everyone but Trail-Gear trying to sell em. Didn't really get the response I wanted.

I have broken them. When I bought my truck it had several broken or missing. But it's more about I would only by a Toyota stud and when I priced em from the dealership they run 6bucks. Dorman are CRAP and i won't use them. So why not get a better one for the same price? Thats what im trying todo.

So get the word out. 300 sounds like a lot, but it's not, its only 25 people buying 12 studs and 13 buying 24 studs! If i get the numbers up, i'de get the order together and get em made and shipped. If not. Oh well, Factory studs it will be...
If you see it, its for sale.

I'd definitely be in if you hit the 500 / 7.82 mark.  I'd probably get them at 12.34 too...

when I got my truck it had 1 broken, and 2 stripped. I got new ones at Napa, and been flogging it ever sense.

I guess for me it just doesn't make sense to get ARP wheel studs when all that same torque is passing through the little tiny hub studs. Those are on a smaller diameter, and they are MUCH smaller studs.

My .02, carry on!

We aren't interested in Wheel studs for the strength of the stud in relation to torque being transmited, its so that the threads on the studs stop getting all gummed up from taking the wheel on and off. Not to mention having a longer stud which would allow more thread to be used and would add more clampping force.

ARP studs to hold a cast aluminum spacer on the hub and the wang kang phui made of who knows what grade of steel studs that came in the spacers to hold the wheel on...  Yea I makes total sense to me. :talkingn:

This was just a grossly over priced solution to a problem that just didn't exist.  Someone must have been bored...
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

zippo

If I need studs anyway and they are the same price why wouldn't I go for the best option?

They are a little spendy so im not doing it. When i priced Factory Studs they were 6 bucks a pop. WOW.

What is the problem in looking into it?
If you see it, its for sale.

WHITE_TRASH

The price isn't the same it was double.  Factory studs are cheap to free if you pull them out of old axles and hubs.

I don't blame you for looking into it but using a high quality super strong stud to hold a cheap aluminum spacer on is dumb as a bucket of goat piss...  :gap:
