Just a thought.  Why don't ya give Marlin a call, and see if he is willing to make the order, and sell them?  That way, he can do the order for larger quantities, and get a cheaper price.  He may already have some ideas in mind too!!   :dunno:

Thats a excellant idea!!!

Im all for letting marlin in on the deal! Infact when I get more info I plan on giving them a call to see if they want in at cost! But I want them as cheap as possible for me - myself! I should get something for taking the bull by the horns.

Who knows they might come back to $$ for anyone who knows. Now its just a waiting game!
If you see it, its for sale.

Early next week?  No worries, i would like to have them asap as well. Thanks for doing all the leg work.

Jason,

I have noticed that there are two smaller diameter sections on the wheel
stud. The first one is the one in question, as it doesn't seem to have
much of a purpose. Could the 14.5mm section be lengthened 4 mm to take
the place of the 13.8mm section, then drop to 14.33 mm? If so, it would
be a few less grinding procedures, and thus, less money.

If so, can you please update the drawing? Thank you.

Best Regards

Anyone with a rotor around that can Mic it? Anyone?

Looks like your are going to have a couple of of extra steps in the shoulder. ? Where you have the word curl, do you mean knurled?

miltonseven

couldn't you send them a factory one and tell them you want it longer, just to make sure they make it the same? :dunno:

I spoke with ARP at length again today. It may look different but that is due to the poor manufacturing process of most studs. The Curl is pressed into the stud which causes the spike to flair out making that section/curl the final size.

ARP cuts the curl into the stud for more straight/better quality and there is no reason to have that one smaller section and not just extend the curl. The forward section stays the same. Every diameter change cost $$.

Also keep in mind that the drawing is not to scale. Even on the stud you pictured there are steps. .27mm and .67 mm is very small but are in the stud.

And yes it is Knurl. I have also heard it called Curl. Oppps?  :dunno:

The above drawing is the same as a factory stud, other then the above mentioned step. If you are going through the hassell of doing this why not make it as good as you can...
