Ok.  So I've startred the body work.  I smashed up one of my Hannemman Fiberglass fenders pretty good on a tree.  Those darn things are expensive and I spent several hours making them fit right so I'm just going to repair the one I have.

The cracks were all the way through so I had to lay in some new glass on the back side before I could sand out the broken stuff on the front.

I'm trying.   I don't want to do a half ass job like I did last time.   Thats what is creating all the body work this time.

Depends on a few things, but I'm guessing 12-15 hours to completion ( :_order: actual work time :flamer:) maybe I could get Dave to give a hand, which would lessen build time dramatically... kid's got some skills and space (40'x60')at his place...I'll check it out
Are you using your front bumper and existing sliders in the exo design?

Yes.  I need some sort of rollover protection and I'm too big to fit a cage inside the truck.  Besides, I think an exo can look really good if done right.

As a matter of fact, Christian and I both mentioned what yours looked like a couple of years ago as kind of the look I'm going for.  Other than the back halof of course.  I was just gonna leave the bed off and tube up the rear but I'm not quite ready to lose the bed yet.  I wish I knew someone that could bend the tube in a radius to match my front glass fenders.  I'd cut them back and use the tube as the rest of the front fender.

Its been too darn hot lately to do bodywork on my truck but I picked up another SC400 donor car for the next 1uz swap I want to do on my 1988 4Runner.  I'm not realy ready to start yet but I know exactly what parts I need now and can get this apart and gone pretty quick.   Lots of Ebay parts to sell.

Its a 1995 SC400.  I paid $700 for it.  I know I can easily get that back for the parts.

Its finally cool enough to do glass work without itching to death.  After laying out some glass on the back side I ground out the cracks on the front.

Looks factory Steve! Bravo!

Thanks guys! :beerchug:  The compliments keep me motivated.

I began work on bobbing a new bed.   The old one was pretty mangled and since I was re-doing the rest of the truck it might as well look good at least for a while.  I took 14" out of it just like the last one.  It's more than most people do it but I wanted the frame to be the first thing that drags as opposed to the rear valance.

Rear valences are overrated.  I'm cutting mine off and reinforcing that area once I finish installing removable fiberglass bedsides.  You bob is looking nice though!

I really debated just making removable bedsides instead of a whole bed.   If I had an xtra cab I would have definitely done it.
