x2 Detroit. I bet the grizzly will be a good locker. But you cant beat a proven locker like the Detroit.

still tells me absolutely nothing about the locker

let me go ahead and elaborate

They offer a great warranty awesome thats great. But it still tells me absolutely nothing about the locker. Detroits are known for shredding themselves when you break a shaft. This is basicly a copy of the detroit, Is it going to have the same issues ?  crap like that is what i want to know. Not how great of a warranty it has  :shake:

If it's any help in making your decision I decided to try the Grizzly.  MC is building my 6CYL rear with a new Grizzly right now and next month I plan to order a high pinion front with a second Grizzly.

:dunno:
Well I've got Detroits front and rear, but If I was looking for a locker I would try the Grizzly.   If Marlin is willing to sell it, you know it's got be tested.

That's not to say it's not going to have a weak spot or something that needs to be redesigned in the future.  But if it does fail, Grizzly is going to pay you up to $2000 in parts and labour.

And If I do the labour that's a few parts.

the birfield eliminators have a good warranty also, we all know how good they are. maybe if that warranty went to 2012 i would try them, i like my lockers to last more than half a year. if it aint broke dont fix it and detroits never break(figure of speech)

so buy one and go break it and see,   we all know how detroits die when an axle shaft breaks.  Ive got 35's and a elocker so  i dont need another locker.

we all know how detroits die when an axle shaft breaks.

Ive heard that, never experienced it however.  Makes me want to venture away from them, i have broken a rear axle before with a lock right in the back, but now i wonder if i want to buy one of these.  I would have been absolutely mad if the broken axle took out a Detroit.

I am looking for something for the rear axle.  Hell i might just weld it again.
