My AX10 and XR10

Well I finally got me an rc crawler. I picked up a ARTC from a main and just got it all together. Got it together a on Monday and had around 4 hours of run time so far.
Specs:
180 oz servo
Traxxas XL-5 esc, receiver and radio
axial 55 turn motor that came with it
mods:
Gmade transitions 90mm shocks set up for droop
cut  foams
weighted front tires
MIPs
4 link 
Rover white dots
mods to come:
right lights

Nice! Thats a good way to start out. Losi sells a sweet bolt on and plug in rock light kit for 20 bucks. The TCS 4 link kit is cheap and nice too.

got the soft springs on and it seems like it will be so much better goin to take it out once the batteries are charged. i just need to get the 4 link next and maybe some new tires we will see.

tossed in a 20 turn motor i had for a lil fun in the parkin lot across the street. it was a blast but sucked to crawl no power at all. might swap it back in when it snows. i kinda want a stampede now too, so i can go fast as well.

i inboarded the rear links and added weight to the front wheels. made a big difference in the house just messin around now to go test it.

so far its been runnin great. upgraded to some MIPs drivelines and they are pretty kick ass. friday im ordering 4 links front and rear i cant wait.

The MIPs are damn near indestructable as far as I can tell. Good choice.

ya they are burly as heck. now for upgrading the 3 links the joint on the axle is soooooooo hammered.

got the 4 link stuff today and some rovers. what a difference. Tried to wheel a bit here but it was soooooooooo freakin cold. ill get some pics tomorrow

well i think i killed the esc. i rolled the crawler into the lake.

The esc is dead so i went to ebay and ended up with a XL5 waterproof speed control from traxxas. this thing works so much better. not sure if its the esc or the 4 link and rovers since i did it all at once, but it wheels so much better.

Hahaha Drew. One of my buddys was wheeling at the ocean and a rogue wave came and washed his away. Luckily he was able to retrieve it haha

ya dude it sucked. 3 rolls into the water upside down. got a new esc thats waterproof and it works a hell of a lot better

ended up ordering the gmade transitions. they are a lil shorter but still plenty of travel and it should lower the rig a bit which i want.
