Depends how loud it is. Could just be the throwout bearing if it's not too loud.

i would say its the T.O. bearing, could be the pilot bearing also.. dont most clutch kits come with the T.O. did you put a new one on?

mine is sorta strange, only seems to squeak when the engine is over its normal op temp!!!
Those are some huge welds!

Have the same symptoms with a 98 Taco, after 20,000 miles still no problems
Was told it was the T. O. bearing.

Mine did the same thing once a pon a time. My pressure plate bolts weren't tight enough and allowed the disc to skip and chadder.
Did you torque the bolts down per the book. There is a pattern you follow (star).  I know the 3RZ stuff they require you to go torque to 14 lbs and then go back and in a star pattern torque them an additional 90*.

That could have been the Flywheel too, did you take that out and replace it or anything?

TacoRunner, I think u r on the money, the sound it makes is more like a chadder sound, it goes away when I press the ckutch pedal, flywheel, clutch plate and pressure plate was change and no I didnt use a torque wrench.... :nope:

I had the same problem so I pulled it apart and one of the prongs on my T.O. bearing was broken off. I say it has to be something with the T.O. bearing
