Hi I'm new to the forum and just wanted to check in.  My name is Dale Farr and I live in Northern Ca.  I have a 2008 4 door Tacoma that I am in the process of building for Medium duty off-roading.  My son has a 91 pickup that he's slowly working on as his funds permit.

I hope it s ok, I wanted to post this letter to thank Marlin and the guys at his shop  they squared my son's truck away by installing away one of their clutches not to mention a whole lot of extra work on short notice.  They certainly went above and beyond the call of duty.  Here's a copy of the letter.

Dear Marlin, Jon and the entire Crawler Staff,

I just wanted to write and say thank you for the outstanding work that you did on my sons 91 Toyota pickup. My son's clutch started to fail after driving to Modesto from South Lake Tahoe for a tree-cutting job. I'm on duty in Los Angeles as a tanker pilot for a wild land fire-fighting contract, so naturally I was worried about him breaking down and getting home, especially with the snow high up in the mountain passes during this time of year.

This is Ryan's first 4x4 and he is upgrading it as his funds permit so that he can have a very capable wheeler one day.  Naturally your clutches came to mind based upon your reputation.  I called and spoke with John and told him what we needed.  He confirmed the availability of the right clutch, coordinated the installation and squeezed Ryan in to get the work done on time and within his budget.  He said it was no problem and that everyone there was excited to help and that Ryan would enjoy hanging out and seeing your trucks and the shop.

You guys then went well above and beyond what any other company would have done.  Besides the clutch, numerous seals and gaskets were replaced, valves were adjusted, oil leaks were repaired and he was treated like family throughout the entire process.  He learned a lot and was truly inspired by all of you.  Marlin you guys really made his day and mine as well.

Needless to say you have made a pair of lifelong customers and fans.  I know that Ryan will be back to have gears, bumpers and a locker installed after the upcoming fire season.   He works as a wild land fire fighter so that he can save enough money up for school in the winter while stashing a little extra away to upgrade and restore his truck at the same time.  I cannot think of a better start for his truck, than what you and your team have done.  Ryan says his truck drives as if it were new and that he cant wait to get back down for his gears, locker and bumpers.  He is truly excited about his truck and the future upgrades that he is planning.

I too will be ordering parts from you for my Tacoma as I build it up over time.  I look forward to meeting you one of these days to say thanks in person.

I truly have to say that I wish all businesses and their employees were as good as you guys.  What a great company.  Thanks again for going above and beyond what anyone else would have done.

Merry Christmas.

Sincerely,
Dale Farr
