Rock Pistons
« on: Dec 17, 2009, 10:39:19 AM »
Ok guys this is what I have.  I have a 1985 22r engine that I bought a set of Rock pistons for, but I dont have the rings for the pistons.  Does anyone know if I have to use Rock piston rings, or can I use some other brand of ring.  I know the OEM rings wont work, because I have already compared the two.  Any help would be great.
1985 22r with lots of possibilities.

Any brand of rings should work, but if the pistons are oversized, you have to get the correct oversize rings.

The OEM piston rings that I pulled off my old pistons are not as thick as the ring grove is on the rock pistons.

Contact Rock and ask them, they might have a special set of rigs to use.
If you see it, its for sale.
