« on: Oct 14, 2009, 08:59:48 PM »
I'm having a problem aligning it and the torque seems to make the body tuck to the left no matter what wheel is being articulated? How do i get rid of this problem??? :help:

reverse the wires on your motor and turn your transmission backwards. this will help eliminate torque twist.

what will switching the wires around do? do you suppose if i were to upgraded to the metal chassi plate instead of the plastic one, i noticed it torques a little as well

i have the same minor issue too, what do you mean by reversing the wires like just plug it in backwards and turn the tranny the other way?

ya thats what i was thinking, i was thinking just flipping the throttle switch on the controller and it would just reverse the motor, i just turnd ithe tranny plate around with everything so it was the opposite offect, it seems a little better.. im thinking the metal skid plate wouldnt let the motor and tranny torque so much?

i just unbolted the plate with the tranny and flippd it 180 degree's and than theirs a switch on the remote that switches the direction of travel.  I have an after market tranny so i couldnt "mirror the tranny" like with the stock tranny theirs a plug on the opposite end of the input gear and you just switch the tranny around. rccrawler.com has a bunch on it..

ya im pretty sure that the bottom skid plate rele lets the motor torque im going to get a metal one and see if it helps a little more, also the stock shocks kinda blo, also different shock oil may help

OK go to rccrawler.com.  They have TONS of stuff for you there.  In the mean time, look at doing a 4 link front and rear, then play with suspension geometry, then work the shocks over with heavier oil and springs, then add weight to the tires..... Lots to do.  Just keep playin with it.

What I did on my AX10 to eliminate the torque twist was first mirror the stock trans (little to no improvement for me). I then went to a 4 link in the rear using the TSC link plate and also switched to the SCX10 skid (provided you still run the stock chassis). My torque twist is gone even with my Crawlmaster brushless motor and a 3S lipo. I'm still running the stock shocks with super soft springs. YMMV

putting a 4 link on the rear will help eliminate torque twist...some people used to put a spacer or heavier spring on the side that compresses.

honestly the best way i found to fix my ax-10 was to ditch the stock chassis and transfer to the swx  or if youre really on a budget as 88_pathy said 8 times go to rccrawler.com theres tons of guys who do nothing but use that forum and build rc crawlers

I did a TCS 4 link front and rear and put heavier weight shock oil in the rear left shock as well as adding a few spacers. Eliminated about 75% of my twist, but its still there a little bit.
