I need help with my AX10 scorpion build.
« on: Jun 16, 2007, 07:41:27 PM »
I am new to the RC Rock Crawling Industry, and I need a few pointers. First of all I just put in an order for a AX10, and I need to know what you all would suggest to complete the build. I bought what the website suggested. I just dont know what I really need.

This is what I bought that was suggested.

* Tower Hobbies 6-Cell 7.2V 1500mAh Stick Standard NiCd
* DuraTrax Streak Forward/Brake Hi-Frequency ESC J
* Futaba 2DR 2-Channel AM/2 S3003 Servos
* Team Orion 27T Double Method Motor

Thank you for the help. Oh yeah make sure you put things so I can undestand them, cause I am new to the whole thing. I have done some research though.

I would say to start would be to get the aluminum bent lower links,and the aluminum upper links.Search on rccrawler.com for info on different aftermarket shocks for it.Also i  have heard that the tires that come with it dont grip that well so that might be another mod to do.Move the springs inboard on the frame.all this can be found in the ax-10 section on rccrawler.com they have alot of good advice.Hope this helps
Putting the wet stuff on the red stuff!!!!

get a slower motor     a 45t  or 55t
change the tires cause the stocks suck
and a high torque metal geared servo for the steering
Lets shoot fireballs at it !!

OH man, we're  gonna get so  busted!!!
