:therethere: So I was wondering, how does the marlin 6-inch lift kit do on the 1985 22RE 4Runner?  Are their any other parts I would need?  I was considering doing link suspension in the rear with leaf springs up front, whats the better choice??? :help:

thats enough lift for 42's :yikes:  i'd get dizzy BUT  ive seen a few runners with the 6 inch lift in the rear and 5 inch in the front, after the springs are broke in it sits level

something to consider

44044 (waggy springs) in the front 63" chevy spings in the rear. i had them on my runner worked great, and ran 39.5

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

just tell them at Marlin you have a 4runner i think they will fix you up with what you need but just in case tell them you dont want the rear of your runner to sag

how do you figure bigger is better? unless you like to flop your :pokinit: then i disagree.... if marlin doesnt have the springs in stock then just order them from all-pro you will get them much faster and they are the exact same springs...

4" vs. 6" ...... it really comes down to whether you wheel your rig, or you just want the tallest truck in the neighborhood.

merlcrawl

I was thinking of making it into a flatbelly, would i need a body lift to push the tranny up?  I just want my center of gravity to be low..
Im starting from a stock 85 4runner, would it be cheaper to buy a rig that already has parts into it???

yes and no. you will not know everything that is wrong with it. it may cost you more in the long run if you have to fix something. build it your self, you will know everything think your runner

LoL Thats what Exo cages are for, I love tall runners! I agree thow, if you want to crawl the rocks keep it low.  :stopit:

Unless you want to be cool like me and run full size chevy axles with 6" springs, well thats what I'm gonna do anyways.

Low and Slow is key my friend.

Just run bump stops all droop and it will be 100 times the wheeler Ive wheeled tall rigs even with flex not worth it
