I don't have any pic's but I saw one that had a soft top & the tail gate was gutted & converted for storage.

I have a Weather Guard model 186-3

This is what I have under my f-bed.

This is what I have in the back of my '90 truck w/shell.

Could do something similar inside the Runner.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.
The money pit '87 Supra resto/mod

SnowToy this is what I was thinking about somewhat, I like both idea's. The flat bed is NICE.Got any pics of the flat bed under it and the tire rack?

Here are some more

Thumbs

Storage bin(made from scraps)

Double slide drawer

You could possible do a combo of the two in the back of the Runner.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.

I am looking at doing some sort of tool storage in the back of my runner too, and I also need to figure out how to hold a 36 inch spare somewhere too.

Any one else have ideas or tips for putting draws in the back and other places for storage in a 4runner?

I plan to build a box that can be drawn up like the spare tire so if the runner is full of gear I can drop it down and get to it.
