There are a few differen't things. People have write ups on here somewhere but they were wayy wayy old so i wouldnt know how to go about finding them. But you can drill them out bigger and tap them drill out the hub to eliminate the cone washers. I wouldnt go that route my coods did he has the build on here witht he datsun and they last its just a lot of work. I would just pull the old ones out and buy new studs cones and nuts and check the aluminum part to make sure its not ovaled out then just install all new. I would put a touch of locktite on there or just check them every trip. The reason they break is because they get loose which ruins the design of the cone washer and it gets slop which alows more of a shock load towards the bolt ya know?

FYI, i allways have better luck using left handed drill bits. As long as your drill has reverse the drill bits seem to work better. I bought mine off a tool truck, but i think Harbor freight should have them as well. Just an idea.

I work for Frito lay as a mechanic and we allways have problems with the 5.7 exhaust manifold bolts breaking in the cylinder head. 80% of the time i can remove and broken bolt with a left hand drill bit. Good luck Bro.
