I have tried the search,i can't find any pics,(must be a noob thing)but if you have some pics of your rig with trimmed front and rear

I took about 2" out of the front fenders on my '91.


I also tack welded a 1/8 solid wire to increase the rigidity of the fender, and to get rid of the knife edge that cutting creates. 

I welded the stock inner fender tabs back on, and plan to make some inner covers, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

good idea about the wire... i always wonder what people did about the sharp edge.... as the oems have a creased lip

After cutting myself pretty good digging out a buddy on his rig, I wanted to do something to prevent it from happening w/mine. I originally planned to section the fender, or cut and fold the existing fender into an edge, but both of those would have been a lot extra work, for a piece something that will likely get creased on the trail.

Here is my 85. Took about 2" out of the rear and 2.5" out of the front IIRC. Its been a while. To smooth the edge, on the rear I used spray on bedliner. I have been meaning to do it to the front as well.... been kind of lazy about doing it though....

I didnt actually do the cutting my buddy Kyle did. He has done dozens of fender trims and I didnt want to screw up my purdy fenders. He used an angle grinder with a cut off wheel.
