new member from Lake Tahoe!
« on: Jul 13, 2009, 03:58:04 PM »
Hey everybody  New guy from Lake Tahoe. Trying to put an 81 Toyota back together. Have a few parts missing and the guy I got the truck from, suggested that I try this site. Just spoke with Big Mike and finally found out how to post! Looking for a front bumper and tailgate, drivers door handle. Interior door panels (stock). Thanks. Greg

Welcome to the site Greg :welcome:

I changed the title of your thread to reflect a new member. Once you have accumulated 12 posts you will be able to seek parts in the Classified section which will get far more views and hits than doing so in this new member forum

Let's see a picture of your truck!!! :snapshot: 1981 is BY FAR the most SUPERIOR Toyota Hilux year  I know because I have one :psss:

Howdy Thanks for the quick reply. Don't as yet know everything I need but starters are, drivers side door handle.Door panels (stock) arm rests. Will let u  know more as I get to the interior. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out where the heater hoses go, what emission controls aren't hooked up, (seems to be a lot of those; and Calif is real nasty about original smog). Really appreciate the help. Greg. drdelux

Hey Mike  I seem to have a severe short term memory loss. Took me another 5 or 10 minutes to remember hoe to reply!!!!!!!!! Wow, what a great site and such dynamite folks. I'm an old guy and, as such, I have one of the original crawlers that I'm working on with my twin 13 year old sons, Forrest and Skyler, it's 87 years old. Anybody want to venture a guess? Thanks for the great response folks. Look foreward to enjoying the site. drdelux

Hey Thanks for the welcome. I don't usually spend this much time typing except for telling the parties what I think about what they're doing with our country. I won't apologize. Old vet! Again thanks for the welcome looking forward to working out my fingers with all of you and hopefully meeting some of you. I live less than three miles from the entrance to Rubicon! Nice to be here. Thanks. drdelux
