Has anyone had problems installing the TG Creeper Breather on the front 8'' toy axle? Mine is stock height maybe thats the major issue, but I didnt think it mattered and they did not state I needed a lift to install on front.

Anyhow I got it on there but I still hit the frame unless I move the rubber piece around so it doesnt contact the frame, even so it will have some kink to it.

Right now its barely hitting the frame also how in hell do you get that hose clamp thats already on the breather back tight? I squeezed it with the pliers but seems loose, is the rubber breather supposed to move around with your hand? I guess I will have to add another hose clamp, I tried to get it off with no luck.

I know this sounds dumb but its being a pain in the butt.

Am going to run and see how it does though.

Any thoughts btw the rear fits great with no issues.

dunno, get 90 degree brass elbow? and point it the other way? Ive never seen one of these, i just ran tubing up to a filter i mounted in the cab. :dunno: as for the hoseclamp, were not talking about some obscene pressure, any hoseclamp should do.

I also just used some tubing with a filter, but I ran it into the engine compartment. I really don't think the bellows hitting the frame will be a big issue  :twocents:

thanks guys, ya it hits just a little. am going to run it and see how it goes.
90 degree one might work, but am going to try it for now :gap:
I also changed the hose clamp today on it to the screw setting one, no more breather (bellow) movement

I hit mine all day long when i had those breathers. I run the stock breathers now since here in AZ deep water crossings are a rarity

gnob

imo those breathers are a joke, get the right fitting and run the vent into the cab.
hold this. . .

87pickup

they didnt work the way i thought they would

They are too stiff, mine didnt expand at all. When i had them at the round up they did fine on the trail but when i had to drive from tahoe back to loon lake i think it built up way too much pressure and was spewing oil out of my rear bearing retainer area. But when driving slow it was dry as a bone.

i will see what happens

I honestly don't understand why people keep coming on marlin and asking about trail gear parts.  You know the history and bad blood, so if you have a question or concern about their product, go to their site and ask away

which would be one of the many reasons marlin is better :gap:

I just did what most others did, get the right hose barb fitting, and run a hose up into the engine compartment or cab.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Don't think I'd want it to be a sealed system like that, too much to go wrong, best thing is to run a line up from the diff as high as you can get it and then top it off with a breather. The best line I know of is brake line.

I use fuel line and a fuel filter run under the hood ending up near the top of the firewall.....

hey guys. lil update i dont think they are working. it seems to me am getting more oil out of my inner axle seals in the front than the stock part!

so am going to go with fuel line and a cheap fuel filter and throw the bellow in the trash.
is 12ft enough.
also am never buying from TG again  :sheerterror: only mc and front range and maybe others  :turtle:

This is all the stuff I used to make my front and rear breathers, aside from the mini K&N filters which are ridiculously priced now (7.99 each) and not necessary, it was about 2 or 3 bucks worth of parts and works great. A lot better than that TG accordion breather. Fuel filters are dirt cheap and make great filters for the ends. I just like the little K&Ns cuz they look cool

also should i put cap on the end of the fuel filter that doesn't have the hose on the other side? thanks

btw here is the fuel filter i used: http://www.napafilters.com/filterlookup/PartDetail.asp?Part=3011 I have it mounted as pictured left to right with hose on left side of it.
