Anyone running joint type shackle hangers?
« on: Apr 14, 2009, 06:17:11 PM »
Just wondering if it's worth the money and hassle. Thinking of doing it in the rear. Any downside on a daily driver?

I think it has been discussed before but i am thinking about it. I might just buy a 2.63 ballistic joint and make my own mounts. I think i will have to get new shackles though since the ballistics dont come in a 18mm bolt hole. I am curious if the All Pro's are 18mm or if their 9/16 like most Johnny Joints?

 I have ran the TG creeper joints on my DD (rear shackles) for two years no problem at all. They really move on the trail too

I wouldnt but alpro ones or ballistic I mean I would if I had the coin but I have trail gears and i love them but my truck has mad body roll and if im mobbing like 60 it helps pitch it sideways I drift corners at 60 all day if its wet. I dont know if thats why but seems like it throws it a bit more sideways. On the trail there amazing helped my flex to and i think its a lot easier on the u bolts and what not to. I would do it for sure, also trail gear sells them in 18mm bolt size

Anybody seen them welded on the rear like the Ftoy shackles rather than the bottom?

I was told creeper joints where the best because they can be rebuilt, the others cant.
