i was thinking about installing johny joint shackle hangers on the rear of the front springs and lowering the front mount about 2 inches to compensate for caster
to try and get a little more flex and a little more height
and i was told by the guys that sell these joints that i was stupid for even considering this idea
i dont see any disadvantage to this i dea
hopein for input and if i dont too much input on it i will try it and let you all know how it works

barstow is great, calico and the hammers are both within a half an hour  drive.

In my opinion the guys that sell those ARE stupid. Run it and make it plenty strong and let me know how it turns out.

cool idea,,but I would not lower you front mount..seems like alot of unwanted work..If you lower the rear spring, due to mounting the jonny joint under the frame you could get custom fit weld in shims that are about 25-35 bucks with shipping made to your spec and degree..That would fix you caster camber and set you angle..here is a link to who I would get them from..I thought about the same thing so I looked into this..I think its a great idea..

thank you for the idea but i was also trying to gain about 1-2 inches of lift at the same time without changing springs
i like the flex i have in my springs

You would still get the lift you want because you will be mounting the mount under the frame..You just don't have to lower the front part by using the shims..Anyway take care... :chug:
