marlin had an end of year sale as we all know, well my dad got a mc08 and twin sticks.

goal is to get the motor, tranny, and t-case out of the parts truck, put the duals + 4.7 in and drop the motor and everything in when we get it all together. He got 5.38s for the 44 and has the dual case cross member.

My uncle is building a CJ5 so my dad is tryin to get his goin before my uncles lol. Progress will start up again soon

ya its pretty cool. Like I have said he has had it along time. I built my 85 but he wasnt ready to build his, finacial . But now we both pretty much started from scratch and at the same time. He is kinda racing me too. But i am further in some places but behind in others. I dont have cases and a crossmember but he dosent have high steer and his axles arent ready like mine are.

so we tore down the stock 81 top shift case and put a 4.7 gear set in it with twin stick and tore the other top shift down for the crawl box. we are still waiting for the marlin adapter.
