Nice, it's looking good   I like how far forward his front axle sits too, about where I'd like mine to be.  He doesn't want to put that buick v6 in there still, does he  :wink2:  I was thinking 90s camaro efi would be pretty sweet on it, 200hp stock and more to be pulled out of it  ;)

:headscratch:  he'd have to go through all the same smog stuff for the buick as he would the 22re.

So i talked my dad out of running the 12 bolt. We picked up an 85 bronco 9inch rear from pick and pull. Its 5 on 5.5 lug pattern but they make a 5 on 5.5 adapter to run a 6 on 5.5, it will widen the rear axle 4 inches overall. The front 44 is 69 wms to wms. The 9inch is 65.25 wms to wms, so after the adapters it will measure out to be 69.25 so only an 1/8 inch wider on each side.

Or he is going to change his 6 lug 44 to a 5 lug 44. Still not sure yet.

i love oregon wheelin.

Well it has been awhile but we are still working on this thing. We got the 9" under it and the 44 changed aver to 5 lug. Did a little research on the 9". You can use Dana 44 spindles, rotors, calipers, and hubs to full float it. More on that later. We got everything to get this thing going parts wise. All he needs now is a gear set for the rear and a locker for the front. I pulled the motor out of the parts truck last Saturday and started tearing it down. The front axle is now fully rebuilt and high steer on. We will continue more progress this weekend.

It's now on 37 inch toyos and looks really good.

I'm pissed that poop stick got to go to mcr9 and I missed it again!!! But if I don't help my dad he really doesn't work on it. It's hard to balance everything. But the is a big Moab trip in April next year and my dad is focused on getting it done before then se we can do some test runs to the high lakes before we go to Moab for a week...
