New to the board, but not to Toyota trucks.  My Tacoma got bought back last year, so I paid some bills off and started shopping for another truck.  A couple months ago I came across an '84 Pickup on craigslist, and now its all mine.  I've been lurking on here for a while, and all ready put some of the information to use, thanks   So now I'm still learning about my truck, and going to be shopping for some parts.

:welcome: II  :turtle: Sounds like you had one of those with the frame rust issues? If so the question I have is how much are they paying to buy those back?

Thanks for the kind words.

Yep, my 2000 Tacoma was bought back for the frame rot.  They are paying out approx 150% of the KBB retail value.
The 01 to 04 Tacomas are now getting the frames replaced.

Rocksurfer

Not bad, you'd think they'd just give you a new one at that price though.

I thought it was pretty generous of them.  Oh and they gave a coupon for $1,000 off a new Toyota product, or $500 off a certified used one.  I miss that truck though.

The rust issues are a pretty common problem in areas that use salt on the roads during winter.

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

They are replacing the frames, leafsprings, break lines, and some hardware on the 01 to 04 Tacomas.
