Smallest Backspacing on Al Wheels???? Where???
« on: Mar 18, 2009, 06:34:05 PM »
Anybody seen 16 or 17 inch Al wheels out there with under 4 inches of backspacing?  I would like to lose some rolling weight with Al rims, but I don't see anything that wouldn't require the use of spacers.
Want to find something in the 2.5-3 inch range.  Anyone come across these, or a company that will make them without costing a fortune?  :headscratch:

If you are willing to go with steel you can get any of the black rock crawler rims.  They come in 2.5 inch backspacing and you can order them in even smaller measurements.

If you want aluminum, then you are in the same boat I am.  Haven't found anything that isn't custom and very expensive.

I think Allied makes their Monster in a two piece version with custom backspacing available.  It might be worth giving these guys a call and looking into it.

Thanks, good call.  Nice wheels, not gonna be cheap, but I have been looking at recentered hummer rims and they start to get up there in price with recentering, inserts, etc etc.  Plus they limit tire selection.

Anyone else seen any out there?
I like having choices!!!

my old outlaw2 american racing wheels were 3.75 and so are my new ones.

The first set i had on the truck were 2.5 bs and i got them from peerless tire and they were pretty cheap. Mangels or some brand that sounded like that.
