Nope, but thanks. That's very kind of you. Gonna be done this weekend. I'm borrowing my buddies 2000 xj to get to work and want to get it back to him. It's pretty bad and fun to drive. Full width D44 and a 9", RE 7.5" long arm, 35's, auto, Locked front, lsd rear. If my 4runner works close to as well as that thing, I'll be stoked. It was sick with open diffs and now it's nuts. It has silly flex but good road manners.

Front springs in for the last time, front perches welded and pinion angle set, rear perches welded, rear setting on it's shoes. Now just need to rotate the knuckles and weld to finish front axle housing. A question...Are the sensors on the trans and t-case interchangeable from my original tranny to my r151f and from my stock chain drive t-case to my gear drive? I ask because the plugs are different on the ones I'm putting in.

Please tell me if my assembly order is right. The one pic is of the order I did---knuckle/rtv ultra black/spindle/gasket/backing plate(dust shield)/gold seal with outer lip faced out. the second is of it put together

the gasket goes inbetween the spindle and knuckle, and loose the brake vent and use small washers, to make up the gap

The reason i placed the way I did was because the gasket has a small cut out at the bottom as shown that corresponds to the bottom and lines up with the opening deal at the bottom of the spindle.

Yeah, thats right..
The gaskets are kinda crap, i always use silicone anyways..
You should cut off that giant brake shield though, its just gonna get smashed and trap rocks and mud inside up against your rotor.
You can torch or plasma off the outer ring, you just need where it bolts on for seal spacing reasons..

I got a link to a very cool complete front end teardown/rebuild manual that is by far the most comprehensive I've seen. I thought I'd post it for whom it may concern-good one to bookmark :thumbs:It shows as you've said a seal behind the spindle, but the only one I have is the one that goes in front of it as I suspected.

I'll get to the boards. I tried to take them off but there's undercoating on the bolts. I split a socket and broke a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter on the first bolt I tried. I figured it was the least of my concerns after the tranny, cases, d-lines, suspension, etc...

It'll be a little while before I wheel it. Gotta get or make a front driveline. I really want to go to Mullan.

I torched off the outer portion of the brake plate/dust shield which had a support for the hard brake line. Any suggestions on how to support it now or how you've done it? Pix would be great.
I'll post some pics of the runner next week after the KM2's go on. Still trying to decide what width rims and offset to do. Don't want it so wide the wheel bearings suffer, plus I drive past the PO PO shop on my way to and from work.
