Checking in from Chicago 86runner
« on: Feb 17, 2009, 10:56:09 AM »
I have an 86 4runner. 22re,new head in nov08,32in goodtyear mtr's,hedman headers, 2inch exhaust front to back no cat. I love it but it's too slow. She's my daily driver so she's well taken care of. As of march 08 new:fuel pump, injectors, headers, exhaust, doublechain kit from LC,new head w/intake and exhaust polished, radiator, heater core, skyjacker shocks, tough country dual stabilizers etc..  I still have the front suspension to put on with the polyurethane bushing kit also.  She's in mint condition w/83k original.
I did the rod bearings (standard)in march 08 when I got her. She had been sitting for 15 years in a garage. I won't part with her, but any slower and im gonna shoot her up with some NOS. I have a 41k mile 2rz in the garage. No computer and wire harness. Was automatic, has the flywheel. I also have an autmatic 3rz trans /transfer. My runner is w56 stick shift, and like to keep it that way. I have a buddy who'll do the mounts and the wiring. What else is there cost wise to worry about. I've heard that the bellhousing mfrom stick2rz should fit my tranny. This motor is non-distributor.  Is it easier to put one on. I do have 1 laying around. I also don't have the coils.  Any  help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to start the swap in the next couple of weeks.
