Hey how much weight has the flatbed added/reduced off your previouse weight :headscratch:

When i had the stock bed i also had the roll bar and rear bumper.  Both those things weighed a lot.  So the flatbed sofar weighs less then before.  I sits about an inch higher in the back then it did with the other bed.  And i need it to be beefy because there will be a roll cage on there a little later.

SWAMPER

uhm...it would be cool if you could chart the weight of it...

I don't know how much it weighs, can't really find out either.  I do remember that it was easier for 2 people to put the flatbed on then it was for 2 people to take the old bed off.  I am pretty sure the flatbed itself weighs less then the stock bed.  I would have to say it weighs between 150 to 200 pounds +/- 50 pounds lol.

SWAMPER

That really helped :eyeroll: Well what you can do is go to a truck stop and ask if theres a weight station nearby or a scale

But even if i looked up the GVW i still wouldn't know how much to add on for the tires and bumper, and how much to take off for the stock bed.     :dunno:

SWAMPER

that Idea was good if you would have test weight b4 the flatbed.

I got the diamond plate.  they were doors for a manhole.  Diamond plate top and then steel reinforcements on the bottom.  All the steel reinforcements will be cut off this week.  Then i have to cut the diamond plate to the shape of the bed and weld it in.

Hyena

And i got them both for free!

Hyena

The diamond plate in cut and welded in. All i have to do now is spray paint it.  I will get pictures tomarrow since it was raining to day.  I think this will be the end to the project for awhile since it will sit in my garage until my full sizes are under it with tires.

Here are the pictures.

My last bed didn't have a lock on the gas door either so it is the same.  And i bought the truck off a guy in Roseville.  It had 4 inches of lift with bald 33's and a smittybuilt rear bumper.  It's gone through a lot of changes since then.

Gtown

Change is good.  So are dents.  Now you have to get a daily driver.  Hows the snow in town, is it down to Quintet.  If you drive down chuch st you can see my new toy.  4link and a 44 in the front and 37s  should be fun.  Nice looking bed, any pics of it finished?

When we went up to the snow a few weeks ago the snow started just this side of uncle toms.  I havent been up there since.  I havent seen your truck yet, but i can't wait.  I will get a few finished shots tomarrow.
