well i finally got some 1tons for my runner. i traded my toyota axles and got chevy 1tons out of an 85 pickup with new parts. the runner is now sitting on stock 83 toy axles and some bald 35s, when its all done it should have hydro asst, 5.71 gears and for welded diffs. i have 39.5s but im looking to trade them for 42s or bigger. it most likely will be a slow build but i will have it done before mcr so you will see it going through the box   all i need now is the tires gears and some more odds and ends.   :beerchug: if anybody as any suggestions id like to hear them thanks..

If you are not going to link it look into sky's full width shackle kit for toyotas. These make the swap very simple and if you want to get creative with the spacers it comes with you can move the shackle forward of the body mount. You will also have to move the front hanger of course but this will let you move the axle as far forward as you want.

Looks like you're going six lug. What kind of knuckles are those.

Awww the 4runner looks so cute with the little bald 35s  :haha:

This should be sick. I'm pretty busy most of the time but if you need any help wrenching you got my number  :yesnod:

Are you talking about the longfield joints or the dana 60 CVs? The CVs are not that much more expensive than superior shafts with ctm joints once you add it all up. My axle came with yukons which are much cheaper than either of those but probably not nearly as strong. If I can't keep the yukons together I will be saving my pennies for longfield CVs.
:drooling:
The little one is a 30 spline long.

build the runner. its allways good to have a spare rig for dd.  then you dont have to worry if you break something on the runner.
