It turned out sweet you did a good job. can't wait to see it in person.

What power of welder did you use for the body? When I did my bob I used a 220 but I've got a little 110 too that I'm going to try on the sheet metal hoping it will be a little more controllable

I used my 220 lincoln, B voltage, which was actually prob a little high but i hate how on A it seems like the tacks are just sitting on the surface.  I do remember using my buddies 110 on his half doors awhile back and it seemed like it had more range of control and less burn-through.... try the 110 and see if you like it.

Talon84x4

That's what i'm planning on trying first, I let a guy borrow it for his bob and he said it did really well.

Any updates? Now that you have a few months under your belt, have you wheeled it? What I'm getting at is, did anything break, wrinkle or such when you gott'er all twisted up on the trail?

Absolutely no updates... haha. It has gotten plenty of on-road experience, but this has been one of the busiest summers ever, and I have yet to take it wheeling. All ive done is some mild wheeling out in the dunes, and thus far, no problems. I actually havent even finished patching it up  (the sides of the cab where they meet the bedsides).

As for future plans, just want to tie up the loose ends, get it somewhat watertight and throw some carpet back there. Also want to cage my truck soon, since I have to imagine my little mod affected the integrity of my roof to some degree.

I won't say where I got the idea... seriously though I saw yours on your build thread from back when you first got it and thought, that paintjob does the best job of accenting the first gen body lines.

ZuperDave

Ah,......I finally got to see your build thread,.....let me know if you want to sell it.
