85 Toyota 4Runner, solid axle, 22Re, original paint and graphics and not a straight panel to be found!

My 85 was raped to hell.
It looks new on the inside now and the outside is coming along.

but they are out there man.
I love the look of the 1st gen 4Runner's too.

It just makes for more money if I have to put a "F"ed up one back together...plus im selling my DD for one. So I cant drive up to a clients house with a car that looks like it has been to hell and back. Wont look tooooo good.

im into mine for about 1500 bucks.
i also had a truck to trade parts with and whatnot.


but yeah, shouldnt be hard to find a 1st gen 4Runner, they sell up here like hot cakes.
the 84-85 ones are a little tuffer.

Well here in AZ it is alittle hard to find the one that will work best. Everything seems to be a shitty 6 and I need a 4. Oh well I will find it.

4K is a steal!

I got mine for 500 bucks.
and having most of the interior and body parts to get it decent looking and then a total of 70 bucks to finish the inside.
now all it needs is the engine and tranny put in it, my 87 locked rear end, rear springs mounted, steering finished and a front driveline made.

I have all of that but the material to make a driveline yet.

Youll find a nice 4runner man.

1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

The front fenders have fresh paint and it isn't a perfect match.  The lack of stickers is actually the biggest clue in most light oddly enough.
